Welcome! I’m Hannah, a registered dietitian nutritionist and I’m so glad you’re here!
I may be a dietitian but I believe that health is about way more than having the perfect diet. True health is comprised of many aspects. That includes nutrition but also social, emotional, physical and spiritual health. When all of these aspects come together in our daily lives, we feel our best. When it comes to nutrition there are no “good” or “bad” foods. If we can learn how to listen to and trust our own bodies we are well on our way to having a better relationship with food and overall health. To read more about my ‘food theory’ check out this post.
I found a love for nutrition and wellness during my time as an undergrad at The Ohio State University. After graduating, I moved to Charlottesville, Virginia where I completed my dietetic internship at UVA Health System. After completing over 1,200 hours of supervised practice, I took and passed the registration exam to become an RDN. I started this blog in January, 2016 to provide a positive voice and evidence-based nutrition information in a world where negativity and less than reliable information thrive.
My goal is to share simple recipes, tips and resources to remind and encourage myself and others to incorporate all aspects of health into our daily routine so we can lead our happiest, healthiest lives!
